Pimm’s, big hats and racquets at the ready, Wimbledon is here! A staple moment of every British summer, Wimbledon is all about getting together to watch some classic sporting action with friends and family. We love the tennis here at Florette (come on, murray!) so thought we would share some of our favourite recipes that fit right in on any table or picnic spread during this super sporty time.
Our newest creation crafted in honour of the Queen (Can’t get more British then that!), our Queen-oa salad is light, fruitful and looks great on the plate. The dish combines a whole bunch of dynamic and delicious ingredients, resulting in a fantastic taste from the juicy strawberries, sweet honey and tangy feta cheese.
Brownies are brilliant – no one’s going to argue with that. They are Lovely little choccy bites that are perfect for sharing around with that indulgent edge that we all love. This tasty recipe puts the fantastic Florette twist that you would expect and adds a nice little kick thanks to our peppery peppercress and a few chillies for good measure.
Crème brûlée is one of those desserts that people get when they are feeling a bit fancy, and since Wimbledon itself can be called a little posh we feel like this would be a great addition to your tennis-inspired table. This recipe combines tasty strawberries, smooth vanilla with a subtle kick from flavoursome peppercress and only takes a few minutes to prepare.
Carpaccio is traditionally made using thinly sliced meat and served with seasoning and olive oil. Well, we have taken this classic dish and given it a ‘Floretting’, meaning that we have added our own spin to it. Instead of meat, we use delicious juicy strawberries and combine with balsamic vinegar and lovely Florette salad before topping off with black pepper and basil leaves resulting in a colourful, sweet and light treat.
So we have desserts and salads so here’s something you can get your teeth into if you’re feeling a little hungrier as the tennis balls fly. This tasty creation is perfect for sharing and is really good for you too. Ready in just 15 minutes, this recipe combines tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, radishes and some super seeds for a fantastic flatbread full of flavour. Cut it up, share with everyone and enjoy the match!
