Tuna with Flageolet Beans & Herb Dressing Recipe


  • Florette Mixed Salad
  • 4 Tuna Loin Steaks
  • 1 Garlic Clove (crushed)
  • 1 Tin of Flageolet beans
  • 1 Small Onion (diced)
  • Fresh Basil Leaves (chopped)
  • 1 Lemon (juiced)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. For the dressing, mix together 4 tbsps of the olive oil with the garlic, onion, basil and lemon.
  2. Add the flageolet beans separately & stir gently into the dressing. Season to taste.
  3. Brush the tuna steaks on both sides with some of  5 tbsps olive oil and season well with salt & pepper.
  4. Ensure that the griddle is hot & drizzle with some of the remaining olive oil.
  5. Cook the tuna steaks for 1 minute on each side – ideally the tuna should be striped on both side & a little pink at the centre.
  6. Serve with the dressing drizzled over the tuna steaks & a side salad of mixed leaves.
